Visitors’ Center

Raynham Hall Museum has completed construction on a new Visitors’ Center. The Visitors’ Center is the culmination of a fifty-year-long ambition to acquire the 1915 Lincoln Market Building next to the Museum to house a teaching space, offices, and collections, allowing the historic house to open its servants’ quarters to the public for the first time. The Visitors’ Center includes a museum shop and an exhibition hall that gives visitors a deeper understanding of the Townsend family and their impact on the world in which they lived.

The project was made possible by the vision and generosity of the Town of Oyster Bay, the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, the Peggy N. and Roger G. Gerry Charitable Trust, the Marge Sullivan Fund, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, and many other generous donors.
