DESCRIPTION:Join us on September 23, from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm, for the launch of Raynham Hall’s first catalog highlighting the Museum’s collections, and the opening of the corresponding exhibition, Revolutionary Oyster Bay. The opening will include welcome remarks by Curatorial Fellow Katie Cynkar and a cocktail reception.\nSince its founding in 1653, Oyster Bay has experienced various revolutionary moments through colonization, war, rebuilding, and expansion. At the center of this change was Raynham Hall. Today, the Museum’s collections reflect the history of Raynham Hall– a place shaped by family life, global commerce, war, historic preservation, and ongoing scholarship. Revolutionary Oyster Bay invites you to explore how the Museum’s collection represents these centuries of continuity and change—revealing how generations shaped, and were shaped by, this town and this home.\nTickets:\n$75 for one member with a copy of the book\n$45 for one member without a copy of the book\n$100 for one nonmember with a copy of the book\n$70 for one nonmember without a copy of the book\nClick here to purchase tickets.\nBooks will be available to purchase at the event for $35.\nRevolutionary Oyster Bay: 275 Years at Raynham Hall Museum is generously supported by the Gerry Charitable Trust and the Vidda Foundation.\n
