Self-Guided Tours

On TuesdaysThursdays, and Saturdays, self-guided tours are offered every hour from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes the exhibition hall and historic house.

We offer visitors an innovative, interactive experience using the augmented reality app, 1776AR*. The AR app places you in the center of the American Revolution, using technology to bring history to life. Please download the 1776AR app to your device prior to arriving at the museum. 

You are welcome to bring your own headphones/earbuds, or earbuds can be purchased in our museum shop for $2. We have a limited number of devices and over-the-ear headphones available for visitor use for free.

Guided Tours

On WednesdaysFridays, and Sundays, guided tours are offered at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and include the exhibition hall and historic house.

Explore the Townsend home, discover the lives of the Townsend family and those they enslaved, and learn about the Revolutionary War and the Culper Spy Ring. A museum educator will guide you through the historic home detailing daily life in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Group Tours

Tours for groups of 10 or more individuals must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance and will be accommodated based on availability. To book an adult group tour, please contact cjudge@raynhamhallmuseum.org. To book a student group tour, please contact justinne@raynhamhallmuseum.org.

Raynham Hall Museum’s visitor center is accessible. Due to its age and landmark status, Raynham Hall Museum’s historic house is partially accessible (first floor only). Please feel free to call ahead with any mobility concerns or accommodations requests.
