The funding is part of a broader initiative by the New York State Council on the Arts, which seeks to promote arts, culture, and creativity across the state. Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz emphasized the importance of such programs and supporting educational and historic institutions in the community.

“It’s our job as members of the Assembly to support these organizations as they apply for grants,” Blumencranz said. “We help facilitate and advocate for our communities and partners.”

Blumencranz, who as a resident of the area has been visiting the museum since he was a student, shared his enthusiasm for its mission. He highlighted the museum’s innovative use of technology, including augmented reality, to enhance visitor experiences.
